"This is a prediction. An extreme crisis will befall the five of you someday. At that time, you five will protect everyone." Daisuke Dōjima is a second-year high school student who, as a child, was kidnapped. Daisuke, along with his friends Gai, Lū, Marimari, and Keisaku, get wrapped up in the mysterious phenomenon known as the "Shibuya Drift." The central area of Shibuya rises up and is transported at least 300 years in the "future." What awaits them is a vast wasteland and forest dotted with ruins. There, they will work with the future people "revisions" to operate giant mechanical monsters. Daisuke meets a girl named Milo, who has the same name as the person who kidnapped Daisuke. Milo informs Daisuke that he's the only one who can operate the "doll weapon String Puppet" and protect Shibuya. ★8.5It's the year 2388 and the world has fallen to a pandemic. Milo tells Daisuke and his friends what she knows about the past. Later, they find trouble.

★8Muta declares that the revisions will send a list of people back to 2017 in return for the String Puppets. An unhappy Daisuke meets a revision.

★9With Muta in jail and the police in charge, the S.D.S. continues to train. Daisuke thinks he's the leader, but Kuroiwa wants Gai to take on that role.

★8Marimari confronts Milo in the ruins of the birthday party, demanding to know the truth about the revisions. Daisuke's uncle escapes custody.
E07Midnight Rhapsody
★8With Daisuke in a holding cell, Kuroiwa and the others find out more about the revisions and what AHRV knows. Milo swears that they can return home.

★9Daisuke and the squad set out on a mission to rescue the hostages and destroy the artificial quantum brain -- but the revisions are ready for them.

★8In the wake of Keisaku's actions, the surviving revisions retool their plan. While the S.D.S. is in disarray, Muta's supporters make their move.

★8Milo informs everyone that it's almost time for her to go to 2010, but not before she participates in the battle against Mukyu at Shibuya station.

★9The team listens to a message from Milo revealing the truth about AHRV. The String Puppets are out of energy and Shibuya is running low on hope.

★8Shibuya's people are overjoyed when the reversion works, but there's a cost. Nicholas jumps back in time, and Daisuke confronts him and Milo in 2010.
